What's Happening at the Arkansas Career Development Center (ACDC) in Hot Springs?
Students taking the Business and Logistics class have the opportunity to engage in possible paid internships. Once students complete the class and internship, they can earn up to three school credits. Alma School District had twelve students participate last year and six of them were hired for full time employment!
ACDC still offers vocational training in Welding, Forklift Operations, Culinary, HVAC, Carpentry, and CNA on campus. They also offer a variety of vocational programs online such as, Retail Customer Service, Cleaning Tech, Security Guard (unarmed). Other online classes are driver’s permit study, and CDL permit study. For Pre-Employment Transition Services, ACDC offers online certificate classes including ServSafe, OSHA, and Professional Guest Services.
